Mr. Fujimoto newly changed his carrier to ceramic art from other art fields such as oil painting and plastic art. Now his passion and deep interest in old Shigaraki has led him to a renowned Shigaraki potter. All his works are unglazed and wood-fired wares. He walks and climbs mountains around Shigaraki and dicks clay by himself.
He passes his heart on to clay. After that, all his works are placed into the Anagama unglazed and come out after 10days with a natural glaze from the flying ashes and fire colors.
When you see his works, you may be impressed the power of its. On the other hand, you may feel the warmth and softness from his works when you touch.
He enjoys working at his studio in the mountain.
